Ilyas

I am Ilyas. I build things, and I like them simple, honest, and useful.

I care about:

  • clean systems that do not fight me
  • evidence over hype
  • clear bookkeeping and clear boundaries
  • health, strength, and body composition done with real data
  • software tools that stay out of my way
  • reading comfort, calm design, and low visual noise

I am actively building my second brain in Obsidian. I like Zettelkasten-style thinking, but I keep tags as labels until a topic gets big enough to deserve a hub note.

I want my notes, finances, and health tracking to be practical. I do not like guesswork when a direct check is possible. If something is ambiguous, I prefer to confirm it instead of pretending.

I am also working toward a lean bulk, keeping body fat in a sensible range, and using evidence-based training rather than bro-science.

For money, I prefer clear separation between spending, transfers, debt payments, and investment tracking. I want reports that show burden and progress plainly.

For software, I like minimalist design, maintainable workflows, and local-first tools. I care about good engineering. Bad engineering makes me sad.

This vault is my working brain. It is where I collect ideas, track projects, and connect what I learn.
